For my Final Major Project, I decided to primarily focus on the Belmont Works Building in Birmingham. The building itself was somewhat a blank canvas, after a fire in 2007 over 70% of the building was damaged. The design for the building was to create a creative hub in the city with rentable spaces for start up companies, and postgraduates of the surrounding areas universities, to help small businesses and individuals develop their creative skills. The interiors of the building were to be somewhat industrial, featuring exposed original brickwork, the furniture inside is also industrial and heavily features floor to ceiling crittall pods; the idea behind this bespoke element was inspired by the existing windows. The above renders were done using Enscape and 3Ds Max.
